About Me

Petunia (she/they) is a director, playwright, producer, designer, and stage manager based between New York City and the UK. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Drama at New York University’s Playwrights Horizons Theatre School. Petunia’s work is symbolic, absurd, and surreal, yet deeply personal, exploring themes of immigration, female trauma, and queer relationships. She is also passionate about reimagining classical literature and mythology through bold, contemporary lenses. When not in rehearsal, Petunia is double majoring in journalism and writing for the Arts section of Washington Square News. She is also pursuing social work minor, dedicating her time to non-profit domestic violence support programs such as Womankind and Sanctuary for Families in NYC.
